Match Maker

Hello! A bit about me and my reason for starting this blog.  My name is Mary Anne.  I am married to Bob whom, for the purposes of this blog, will be known as "The Professor."  (All Gilligan's Island fans will know right away how I came up with the name for my blog:) Yes, he really is a professor and we truly are The Professor and Mary Anne.  We met in 1990 through a dating service called Match Makers.  Now, remember, in 1990 there was NO INTERNET, so our initial contact with one another took place via snail mail (although I like to tell younger people that we used stone tablets and chisels:)

God managed to get us together even without the help of the World Wide Web and The Professor and I are living proof that blind dates set up by strangers do work!

God can use anything to bring about His purposes! We have been happily married for 26 years and both firmly believe that Match Makers is the tool that God used to bring us together.  We have two beautiful daughters of whom we are very proud.  They are young adults, so we are just beginning the "empty nest" phase of our marriage (and enjoying it!)

Now for the real reason I started this blog and if you are linking over from Kellys Korner Blog no doubt the main reason you are here.  I would like to introduce you to my nephew, Jordan...
Jordan and his sister-in-law
Jordan is 31 years old.  He is the youngest son of four boys in his family.  He comes from a long line of dedicated farmers on his father's side of the family and has been continuing that tradition since he graduated from college and moved back to his home town in rural Western Kentucky. He is hard-working and loves God, his farm life, and his family.

In the corn field!
Jordan also enjoys hunting various game and boating on the Ohio River with family and friends.  He has many of the qualities that I tell my own daughters to look for in a future husband.  In addition to being hard working, he is kind, loyal, responsible, friendly, fun, loving, and handsome!  He is also very considerate of his mother, but he doesn't live with her;-).

Jordan is a faithful Catholic Christian and is involved in his local small-church community.
Jordan and his niece at her Baptism
He has never been married and has no children of his own, but he a super uncle to all three of his little nieces.
Jordan and his twin nieces

Jordan is just an all-around great guy and he will make some lucky girl a wonderful husband!  If you would like to contact Jordan, you can leave me a comment here with your contact information and I will see that he gets it.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Prayers for all of you that are searching for that special someone.  I have "been there and done that".  Keep praying and when God brings the person He has for you into your life, you will know then that it was worth the wait!

  2. Hi Lindsey! Thank you for reaching out! Jordan lives in rural Western Kentucky. About 65 miles southwest of Owensboro. Is there a post about your coworker on Kelly’s Korner Single’s Day? Or do you have contact info that you can share so I can pass it on to him? Would love to give them a chance to at least email each other.
